Volunteer - Cracker Day Tabling

“Cracker” refers to the original horsemen who managed large herds of cattle brought to this area by Florida’s earliest Spanish settlers.

Celebrate this heritage at the 65th annual Cracker Day Festival, hosted by the St. Johns County Cattleman’s Association. Cracker horse races, games and herding demonstrations take place throughout the day.

We will be featuring an educational outreach booth, featuring some of our favorite estuary friends.

Volunteer Role

We are looking for volunteers to assist with Matanzas Riverkeeper tabling setup, community engagement, and tabling break down.

Community Outreach Event Tabling Volunteers are ambassadors for Matanzas Riverkeeper, actively contributing to the organization's mission of environmental stewardship and community involvement. Volunteers play a pivotal role in representing Matanzas Riverkeeper at various outreach events, engaging with the community, and promoting environmental awareness. This volunteer is responsible for effectively communicating Matanzas Riverkeeper's mission, initiatives, and fostering a connection with diverse audiences.
