Volunteer - Anker x Matanzas Riverkeeper Cleanup Captain

Matanzas Riverkeeper has an exciting opportunity to partner with Anker for a cleanup celebrating World Ocean Day. The cleanup will be based out of Lighthouse Park on the morning of Friday, June 27. We are still firming up details, but the tentative plan is to ferry folks from Lighthouse Park on the Litter Gitter over to Anastasia State Park to pick up trash, then ferry them back. We will then host a lunch for the participants. We are anticipating that this event will run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM including lunch.

We will have one Cleanup Captain for each group that we ferry over to monitor the volunteers and serve as the main point of contact. There will be Anker reps onsite showcasing their products and there will be Anker prize give-aways during the lunch.

We need Cleanup Captain volunteers to assist with setup, check-ins, volunteer coordination, and packing up supplies.

A Cleanup Captain Volunteer plays a vital role in organizing and coordinating coastal cleanup events, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the cleanup process. This position focuses on overseeing volunteer check-in procedures, providing guidance and direction to volunteers, and maintaining a safe and productive cleanup environment.
