We are excited to announce a collaborative effort between Matanzas Riverkeeper and Flagler College. Together, we will be organizing a cleanup initiative aimed at revitalizing and restoring the natural beauty of Spengler Island. Join us as we come together to protect and preserve its ecosystem for generations to come.

Join us on Friday, April 26th from 8:30AM - 12:00PM for a community cleanup event at Spengler Island. We will be kayaking to the island to complete the cleanup. Kayaks will launch from Flagler College's dock. The dock and kayak launch are behind Abare Hall on the San Sebastian River. 

Be sure to come prepared:

• Wear long sleeves and closed-toe shoes for protection from brush and bugs. Waterproof shoes or boots are recommended for this cleanup.
• We will provide gloves, bags, and other cleanup supplies.
• Bring bug repellent, sun protection, and a refillable water bottle.
